 "Yes!"
is the answer to the Question "Can classical music and jazz be combined?"
At least with "Classy Jazz". The American singer Deborah Lynn
Cole, although classically trained has jazz in her blood.
Her cohorts, Roland Ruck (string bass) and Ernst Seitz (piano), both
well known on the jazz scene, have classical background as well.
What else do you need to bridge the gap between both musical worlds?
Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Gershwin, Kurt Weill and
Cole Porter have been very successful at wandering from jazz to classical
and back again. Their music is standard in the jazz clubs today, where
as Gershwin's, Weill's and Porter's stage works are performed in most
major international opera houses as well.
 "Classy
Jazz" offers a fresh, new chamber music interpretation of the classic
jazz repertoire for an effervescent evening.
A demo CD is available upon request.
